Discipline
Discipline Rules
For the information of the Parents/Guardians, we quote below extracts from the S.S. Code.
- A. Regularity and implicit obedience should be insisted upon.
- B. Politeness or courtesy of speech and conduct as well as cleanliness of dress and person are expected.
- C. Pupils are expected to realize that they are responsible to the school authorities not only for their conduct in the school but also for their general behavior outside. Any reported or observed objectionable conduct out of the school on the part of the pupils would make them liable to disciplinary action.
- D. Parents are given to understand that they cannot dictate to the management and that the management has the right to say on what conditions they will admit or withdraw pupils in the school, provided such conditions are in conformity with the S.S. Code and the instructions issued by the Director of Education or the Education Officer.
- E. Pupils shall not take part in any political activities.
- F. Any pupil who is persistently insubordinate, repeatedly or willfully mischievous, or guilty of unauthorized alterations in Leaving Certificates, or in the opinion of the principal, has an unwholesome influence on fellow pupils, may be removed from the rolls with the permission of the Deputy Director. The removal may be temporary or permanent, depending on the gravity of the offense.
- G. Any serious breach of discipline, courtesy, and disrespect to the members of the school staff will be treated as serious, and pupils responsible for misbehavior will be summarily dismissed after proper warning to the student and parents/guardians.
- No mobiles, calculators, or tabs are allowed to be used or brought to school by the students.
